Vanderweil has engineered numerous net-zero energy (NZE) buildings in multiple sectors. Our proven NZE approach consists of 1) reducing building energy loads through collaborative design; 2) electrifying the building systems using proven heat pump technologies; and 3) offsetting the small remaining electrical consumption with renewably generated electricity.
We have used this approach in multiple sectors to achieve NZE and building electrification, including academic buildings, commercial offices, data centers, hospitality facilities, residential buildings, research laboratories, and developer-driven speculative laboratories.
