Los Angeles, CA

The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Sanitation operates the Hyperion Treatment Plant that accepts all wastewater for the City and includes the largest digester gas production facility (8-10 MMSCFD) in North America. The facility is a critical piece of the City’s infrastructure and is mandated for continuous operation while meeting the most stringent water quality discharge requirements into the neighboring Santa Monica Bay. Vanderweil serves as the Engineer of Record (EOR) and provides permitting, design, major equipment, construction and startup support for the new facility.
