Four-story, 140,000 sf athletics facility for basketball, wrestling, and gymnastics as well as wellness programs that include nutrition, sports medicine, and hydrotherapy. The new building also includes offices for athletic department administration and coaches as well as clinical exam facilities where dedicated trainers, sports medicine physicians, and a variety of other specialists provide support to student-athletes.
Vanderweil provided lighting design for the diverse and specialized facilities found throughout the Athletics Multi-Use Facility. When selecting the lighting equipment, special attention was given to maintenance and accessibility of the equipment, particularly in the areas with ceilings taller than 25 feet and the gymnastics pit areas.
The lighting control system equipment was selected based on its capability to provide multiple zoning and preset scene control with a user-friendly interface with capability of expansion and change for future if required. Two wireless control hubs were used on each floor.
