King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is located just north of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. This was designed as a world class institution in the field of Science & Technology featuring state-of-the-art research and classroom facilities.

Research at KAUST focuses on areas that are important to the future of Saudi Arabia, the region and the world serving students, researchers and faculty in disciplines such as energy and environment, water desalination, industrial biotechnology, and scientific computing.

The academic campus itself consists of 4 million sf in 24 buildings imbedded in an overall $11 billion new city arising from the desert.
