Dragonfly Therapeutics specializes in revolutionizes cancer treatment by harnessing the body’s immune system to vastly improve patient outcomes. When the company relocated its operations to the new 180 CityPoint building, Vanderweil provided MEP engineering services to fit-out 108,000 sf of lab and office space.
The space features a 50/50 lab/office split. Dragonfly’s research assets include BSL-1 and BSL-2 lab space, a small-animal vivarium, and bioreactor equipment. The office side of the facility is designed around an open concept that encourages movement and communication.
To accommodate Dragonfly’s specialized operations, Vanderweil engineered modifications to the base building HVAC air handling and hydronic systems. These changes support the unique requirements of the different research and administrative spaces. Electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems were also upgraded to support the safe and reliable operation of the lab and office areas.
