CarGurus, a leading global automotive marketplace, relocated its corporate headquarters to Boylston Street in Boston in order to consolidate its growing team from three separate offices to one prime location in the Back Bay area. The new facility is the first air-rights project in Boston in 40 years.
More than 225,000 sf within the 1001 Boylston tower were fit-out to accommodate CarGurus’ expanding workforce—one that provides a dynamic work environment while reflecting the company’s collaborative culture and supporting its future growth plans.
CarGurus occupies the top 10 floors of the 21-story building, which also includes additional office and commercial space, a public plaza, improved pedestrian and cyclist facilities, and enhanced access to bus lines and public transportation.
Vanderweil provided MEP/FP engineering, energy modeling, and low voltage design services. The building will prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability, aiming for LEED Gold.
