Originally constructed as the school’s first library and fulfilling that role for nearly 90 years, the 11,000-square-foot building has been thoughtfully renovated to support student engagement, academic success, and community connection.

The renewed facility now serves as the home of the Academic Support Team and provides flexible spaces for group study, student organizations, and campus gatherings. Centrally located on campus, Sheldon Hall features a revitalized rotunda and a new glass-enclosed portico offering scenic views of Library Pond.

Vanderweil provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering design services for the comprehensive infrastructure renewal and renovation. The project transformed the historic building with modern systems while preserving its architectural character. Renovations included upgrades to assembly spaces with enhanced technology and connectivity, new conference rooms, private and open office areas, student collaboration spaces, and supporting amenities.
