The Pentucket Regional School District Building is a $120 million, 239,000 sf facility serving as the middle school and high school for the communities of Groveland, Merrimac, and West Newbury.

The new building features separate wings for middle and high school classrooms, along with shared common facilities including a gymnasium, auditorium, and a two-story dining area with a courtyard café.

The program includes classrooms, laboratories, art rooms, locker rooms, a dining area with kitchen, media center, offices, and back-of-house space. A new standalone athletics building was also constructed on the campus to house restrooms, concessions, and storage.

Vanderweil provided MEP engineering services for the project. The new facility is targeting LEED Silver, incorporating technology such as enthalpy energy recovery systems and high-efficiency condensing boilers.

The project received the K-12 Education, Best Project Award from ENR New England.
