BRIDG is a not-for-profit, industry-friendly public-private partnership that focuses on accelerating technology commercialization by providing solutions to bridge technology and capability gaps across multiple fields.
This mission is made possible via its new two-story, 110,000 sf facility—a new research and manufacturing center in Osceola County, FL at NeoCity, a 500-acre master-planned community of innovation.
The BRIDG facility features a diverse range of R&D spaces: ISO 6 and 7 cleanrooms with gowning and locker rooms, laboratories, a data center, and offices as well as a shipping and receiving area with a freight elevator.
The building provides its tenants with access to 200 mm wafer fab capabilities for the low-volume production of microelectronic devices. Facility assets focus on advanced system integration solutions, smart sensor platforms, and non-CMOS electronics devices. The site itself is a secure loop with guard houses and a site tank farm for material processing.
Vanderweil provided MEP/FP engineering and sustainability consulting services for the design of this innovative facility. This includes the utility systems that are so critical to creating the clean and stable environment necessary for precision manufacturing.
