Conversion of a 340,000 sf eight-story concrete office building to a lab facility. The existing HVAC distribution was retained to serve future office occupancies. The design includes a new 100% outdoor air system located on the roof that provides for the lab space in addition to a fume hood exhaust system and standby power for lab tenants. Vanderweil also designed a prefabricated mechanical penthouse containing a boiler and chiller plant.
