Vanderweil served not only as the LEED® Fundamental Commissioning Authority, but also provided full commissioning services for the Bank’s critical infrastructure and data center commissioning process. Vanderweil commissioned approximately 250,000 sf of fit-out on floors 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 10 for Bank of America. The space included open and private offices, conference and team rooms, large and small pantries, print/copy areas and other support spaces, a telepresence room, and a “jewel-box” conferencing center on the 5th floor with a roof patio and extensive audio-visual and presentation lighting/dimming requirements. Vanderweil was also responsible for the MEP engineering for Bank of America. In order to minimize the environmental impact and cost of the renovation, Vanderweil surveyed, refurbished, and reused existing HVAC components as part of the project’s scope.
