Renovation of 345 Vassar Street, a two story brick building, to accommodate 20,000 sf of theater arts and production related program, including scene shop, wardrobe, teaching facilities, black box theater and design workshops, plus administrative support spaces.  Sustainability was a paramount concern, and the team took a highly collaborative approach to achieve the owner’s energy goals. Vanderweil worked with the construction manager to perform exploratory work, which helped the team make an informed decision about what building infrastructure could be re-used.
