Our heritage is our creative drive, our accumulated experience, the firm’s ability for self-renewal, and a dedication to sustainable solutions. Founded by Raimund G. Vanderweil, Sr. in 1950, Vanderweil Engineers is today a 400-plus person consulting engineering firm with projects across the U.S. as well as overseas. For over 60 years the firm has built its business on a core philosophy: Every project is an opportunity for innovative thinking. We approach each project with an open mind and a drive to create the best solutions for that particular project. Our engineering systems are never the same for two projects, rather they are tailored to fit all the client’s objectives while minimizing the project’s environmental footprint. The drive to create the best solutions has resulted in a long line of innovations and in the incorporation of sustainable provisions throughout our work. The firm’s ability to create the best solutions, and its continuity over generations, are enhanced by an on going infusion of talented younger staff to work with our leading creative thinkers, to learn from them, and to establish an environment of mutual stimulation.
